Season 8, Episode 23:"Something Old"

"Maybe we don't need the universe to tell us what we want. Maybe we already know that, deep down."-Ted
Hey guys! First off, I want to apologize for neglecting my blogs lately, I'm just like super busy right now (see what I did there?). Alright, so I really liked this episode. I was very immersed in what was happening throughout, which is something I haven't had in HIMYM since the midseason finale.

Marshall and Lily are kind of like Ted's rock. He believes in them so much, and without them he's very lost. I like that this idea is constantly revisited in the show, it's a good one. Also, do you think they will actually move to Rome? These writers always like playing with ideas like that. (Robin moving to Tokyo, Ted moving to NJ, LAME moving to Long Island, etc.)

Barney and Robin's dad were funny, but I'm not sure the comic relief was something I really liked. I mean, we're getting close to the end of the season so everything is bound to get pretty serious.

Now, this whole Robin and Ted thing is so uncalled for. They keep saying that it's over between them and it always proves untrue. This is a pointless dramatic plotline and I do not like it. They can keep Robin and Ted as friends because their friendship is really beautiful. I don't like that they're trying to force this in, sorry.

GREATEST MOMENTS:
-Callback to the Bermuda Triangle
-The beanbag chair
-I translated the spanish they were saying and it literally means "the goat with the fanny"
-Callback to Robin growing up as a boy
-"We already knew that! The crazy thing is that you're a girl!
-I found it really sweet that there was once a Robin who wanted to have a something old at her wedding.

I could've taken or left this episode.... Interesting, but far from legendary... Only this worth remembering was the hand holding moment in the end but as we all know, THATS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN... come on.... She can't be " Your mother" if she's your Aunt Robin. And to be honest, I don't even want to see Ted and Robin together... not anymore.. We have played on this storyline far too long for it to be true.. AlTHOUGH... Nahhh I'll just let it go.. ANyway, Looking forward to the finale !! #HIMYM!
